Dr. Hadikin, originally from British Columbia, Canada, and having lived in California and Arizona since 2004, joined Pacific Oaks Medical Group in January 2009.
Dr. Hadikin completed his undergraduate education in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Alberta in 1996. In fact, he graduated #1 in his class and was awarded the Alberta Pharmaceutical Association Gold Medal in honor of this achievement. He enrolled in medical school later that same year, and in 2000, earned the MD degree with honors.
Following completion of his undergraduate medical training in Alberta, Dr. Hadikin moved to Vancouver where he completed a family medicine residency at the city's major inner city hospital, St. Paul's. Following this, he was offered a staff appointment at one of his residency training sites, the Student Health Service at the University of British Columbia (UBC). There he took an active role in adolescent health care including involvement in health promotion programs and he was chosen to represent the health service in the national association of college health clinics, COUCH. He was also hand-picked to participate in a prestigious symposium on college and university student services.
Following two years of outstanding provision of care to the young adult population at UBC, Dr. Hadikin was lured by the sunny weather of Southern California where he took a position in the HIV/AIDS field in Beverly Hills. In addition to his experience in HIV and gay men's health issues, Dr. Hadikin has also served roles in general family practice both in Arizona and Toronto, Ontario as well as spending two years practicing in a men's sexual health clinic which focused on non-traditional treatment for erectile dysfunction.
When not caring for his patients, Dr. Hadikin enjoys a variety of leisure pursuits including physical fitness, running, cycling, hiking, tennis and squash.
