Dr. Marcus Tellez is Board Certified Family Medicine physician. He completed his residency through the University of Central Florida and graduated as Chief Resident. Born and raised in Florida, Dr. Tellez received a degree in Religious Studies at the University of South Florida in Tampa, FL and completed his medical school training at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Throughout his residency, Dr. Tellez focused on increasing LGBT+ health awareness amongst his colleagues and received an award for “Excellence in Teaching”. He volunteered his time helping medical students at the local LGBT clinic, presented an LGBT+ health lecture at the annual Florida Academy of Family Physicians conference, and collaborated with the local Pride Center to provide educational lectures to the public. These experiences of professional development, continued education, and public interaction have positively shaped his career.

Dr. Tellez is equipped with a unique, multicultural perspective and a passion for patient-centered care. With the rigorous training and clinical knowledge that he gained through medical school and experience in residency, he will make critical strides toward transforming a passion for LGBT+ health and HIV medicine into a fulfilling career at Pacific Oaks Medical Group.
