Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment

Pacific Oaks Medical Group has always offered its patients the most comprehensive and personalized care available, which is why we are happy to announce that we have two providers offering Osteopathic Manipulative Treatment as an additional aspect to add to your personalized care plan.

Osteopathic Manipulative treatment, OMT for short, is a form of physical medicine that helps align and optimize your physical body for a healthier, happier, and more pain free life. There are no prescriptions, pills to take, and is 100% hands on medicine. Whether suffering from acute or chronic pain, this hands-on approach to medicine can help reduce duration and dependence on medications.

Osteopathy has four main tenets or principles which are:

  • The body is a unit and the person represents a combination of body, mind and spirit

  • The body is capable of self-regulation, self-healing, and health maintenance

  • Structure and function are reciprocally interrelated

  • Rational treatment is based on understanding the above principles; body unity, self regulation, and the interrelationship of structure and function

We look forward to helping you unlock your healthiest self yet by offering these all natural forms of physical medicine! Appointments are 30 minute minimum commitment; other medical issues will not be managed during these appointment times.
